Flatiron is a prominate feature of the western face of Superstition Mountain. The best views of Flatiron are from the Apache Trail SR-88 as it passes through Apache Junction, Arizona. Good views of Flatiron can also be seen from US-60 and even the southern half of Peralta Road, among other locations. Climbing Siphon Draw to Flatiron is dangerous and is strongly discouraged by the Forest Service: "There have been several serious injuries, as people tried to follow a route that climbs up the side of the mountain. Don’t go there."
Photo #30 provides a good idea of the steepness of the climb.
